Personal Finance

Just put up a poll on my blog to determine how much an average individual saves each month oh his/her income, excluding forced savings such as EPF, etc. Personally, I only managed to save 10% of my monthly income, which I think is quite little since I have just acquired a significant amount of commitment this last few months. My target is to save at least 30% of my income :)

How much you save each month? (Poll is at the left side of this blog). :)

5% of Income
10% of Income
15% of Income
20% of Income
> 20% of Income

What are your goal for savings?

Most of my saving are invested? Should that consider a saving or the pure saving each month that left in the bank?

It should consider how much money you are able to save from your monthly income after deducting fixed monthly expenditure.

Meaning, lets say you earn RM10K . And after deducting car, house loan, study loans, personal expenses, etc. You are left with 4K. So that 4K is the total savings regardless of what you do with it afterwards.

I think for most of us, the monthly expenditure will be house and car loans. Thus, i want to conduct a poll on how much is left after these usual expenditures :P
