It took me some time to search for the photos. I usually see these type of photos from time to time.

This is the irony where when you want to find something, it is so damn hard to find it. If you don't want to find it, you always see it.

I think the solution to this problem is to make your closed friend to be closed with your partner, then it will solve the problem. I think so, theoretically.

It is true that it is hard to find a good mentor. So another way is to mix with a wide circle of people/friends. Nevertheless, that needs some effort and time too.

In terms of friendship relationship, it is easier to maintained with people with the same sex as you. For example, it maybe awkward to continue a close relationship with a female friend when she is going to get married, etc. Or, the problem may come with your future partner whom can be easily infuriated with jealousy :P

I usually have a mixture of many kinds of friend. It gives me different exposure by looking at different perspective.

I think the hardest part is looking the one to be your mentor and I think that should be the most effective one.

However, I hardly find one because I can't maintain the long term relationship. So it always ends up by myself.
