A lot of Malaysians are now very actively doing cross border trading especially buying/selling US stocks. Seems that everyone is hoping for a pullback to enter into the stock market before "another wave of rally begins".
A local respected mutual fund company has started selling funds with a US recovery theme. They even make it a 15 days limited offer!! Either it is sheer arrogance or ignorance, that it automatically assumes that public will quickly snap up the funds. Even though it is capital protected, it may not be so attractive to buy mutual funds, it is much more profitable to buy the US stocks yourself. Mutual fund is only good for very long term and in a bull market environment.
